Conducting of the Study Programme:
Undergraduate University Study Programme of Religious Pedagogy and Catechetics is conducted at the Institute of Religious Sciences as a regular study programme.
Duration of the Study Programme:
3 years, i.e. 6 semesters (3+2 years model).
Study Programme has a workload of 180 ETCS Credits.
Academical title obtained upon the completion of the Study Programme:
University Bachelor (Baccalaureus/Baccalaurea) of Religious Pedagogy and Catechetics (univ. bacc. paed. relig. et catech.).
Competences gained upon the completion of the Study Programme:
The goal of the Study Programme is to acquire the fundamental philosophical and theological knowledge, as well as to know and to understand basic knowledge in other social and humanistic disciplines important for religious-pedagogical and pastoral-catechetical formation. Students should get to know some of the fundamental religious-pedagogical and catechetical disciplines crucial for the further study.
Completed Study Programme qualifies students for a work requiring knowledge and understanding of fundamental contents of historical, biblical, systematic and practical Theology, as well as fundamental philosophical, psychological and pedagogical knowledge. They acquire specific competences for a possible employment in the domain of education, media, culture, publishing, in parish communities, etc.
Possibilities of further study:
By completing the Undergraduate University Study of Religious Pedagogy and Catechetics, students have the opportunity to continue Graduate University Study of Religious Pedagogy and Catechetics at the Institute of Religious Sciences of the Catholic Faculty of Theology of the University of Zagreb. They can also continue their studies at the other faculties in the country and abroad, in accordance with requirements for admission set by those faculties.
