justify;\">The method of pastoral theology refers to theological theory and practice of faith within both, the ecclesial and social reality\/situation. It consists of three steps: an analysis of the current situation, a critical evaluation of that situation, and an offer of normative guidelines for personal and ecclesial practice of faith. This method corresponds with the three steps that are specified in the social teaching of the Church (Pope John XXIII, encyclical <em>Mater et magistra<\/em>): to see \u2013 to judge \u2013 to act (Sehen \u2013 Urteilen \u2013 Handeln). Pastoral theology is continuously engaged with the concrete human being and concrete society. It is the spiritus movens of the change of the current pastoral reality\/state (Ist-Zustand) to something better or more desirable (Soll-Zustand). Within its own Faculty and for the purpose of a better correlation with other theological disciplines, pastoral theology is prompted to be interdisciplinary and, at the level of University and society, to be multidisciplinary. After engaging in careful and continuous scientific-methodological and exact study, pastoral theology mediates between the Church Magisterium and the concrete human being, who lives and acts in a concrete ecclesial practice and a concrete society.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><br \/>\n\n<style type=\"text\/css\" data-created_by=\"avia_inline_auto\"
