The procedure of applications to undergraduate and integrated study programmes at the Catholic Faculty of Theology takes place via the National IT System of Applications to Higher Education Institutions (NISpVU), which can be accessed via the website www.postani-student.hr. On that site you can find details about enrollment, as well as current announcements and updates. Applicants who are candidates for the priesthood gain the advantage upon enrollment on the basis of the written Letter of recommendation by their relevant Ordinary, or for that matter by him delegated persons in particular, under the condition that they are ranked above the predetermined treshold for the enrollment to the Integrated Undergraduate and Graduate Philosophical-theological Study Programme in Zagreb and in Rijeka.
Applicants for the Integrated Undergraduate and Graduate Philosophical-theological Study Programme and Undergraduate Study Programme of Religious Pedagogy and Catechetics, who had completed a four-year high school before the introduction of the State matura in 2010 or had completed secondary education (high school) outside the Republic of Croatia or the European Union, are obliged to undergo the Entry Exams and Motivational Conversation at the Catholic Faculty of Theology of the University of Zagreb. Within the Entry Exams, applicants are obliged to pass the exams in subjects Croatian Language, History and Religion. All applicants have to be registered in the State matura system (website www.postani-student.hr).
Applicants for the Undergraduate Study Programme of Church Music, who had completed a four-year high school before the introduction of the State matura in 2010 or had completed secondary education (high school) outside the Republic of Croatia or the European Union, have no obligation of taking the State matura exams, but they still have to be registered in the State matura system (website www.postani-student.hr). Applicants who have taken the State matura exam in subject Organs, the verification of their special abilities will have on organs (instead of subject Piano).
Terms of enrollment for a special quota reserved for Croats outside the Republic of Croatia: Applicants for the Integrated Undergraduate and Graduate Philosophical-theological Study Programme and Undergraduate Study Programme of Religious Pedagogy and Catechetics are obliged to undergo the Entry Exams and Motivational Conversation at the Catholic Faculty of Theology of the University of Zagreb, within which they are obliged to pass the exams in subjects Croatian Language, History and Religion.
The Faculty provides the possibility of enrollment of foreign students, a total number of 8 for all the study programmes.
Applications for the verification of the special abilities and for the Entry Exams (Motivational Conversation, Solfeggio, Music Theory, Harmony/Harmony on the Piano, Piano) have to be delievered or sent via registered mail item to the address: Catholic Faculty of Theology, Secretariat of the Study, Vlaška 38, 10 000 Zagreb (applicants who want to enroll to the regional study in Rijeka have to deliever or sent their applications to the adress: Theology in Rijeka, Omladinska 14, 51 000 Rijeka), in the form available here.
