The institution of the Ombudsman for Students is a relatively new institution in the Republic of Croatia, established by the Law on Student Assembly and Other Student Organizations, (NN 71/07).

Ombudsman for Students: recieve student complaints related to their rights and discusses them with the competent authorities of the Catholic Faculty of Theology, advises students on how to exercise their rights, participates in disciplinary procedures against students in order to protect their rights, with the competent authorities of the Faculty discusses the issues of exercising students rights, performs other assignments of interest for exercising student rights.

Students who believe some of their rights has been violated during their studies should not hesitate to contact the Ombudsman for Students.
